The Dublin trio The Minutes have gigged extensively in Ireland and the UK, touring with the likes of Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes), The Pigeon Detectives, The Von Bondies, Fountains of Wayne and Supergrass, to name a few. The Minutes are currently working with renowned producer Gareth Mannix, whose previous production credits include Republic of Loose and Humanzi. Mannix was influential in helping the band realise their sound in the studio. One of the first songs they produced together, “Ukraine”, helped the band establish themselves in the Dublin music scene being constantly played on local indie stations. The more current “Black Keys’” was the second production from the band and Mannix, demonstrating the band’s change of musical direction, as they progress into one of the most exciting live bands in the country right now.
Last summer saw the band start the much talked about Gigs in Your Gaff shows, with this simple concept: They come to your house and play a show. The response was immense.
The band has just returned from a small tour of Canada and North America, with shows in NYC, Toronto (CMW 2009), and Boston. Currently the The Minutes are upstate recording their debut album in New Paltz, at Marcata Recording – http://myspace.com/marcata
