Another helping of that very fine music from New Orleans. The Bad Penny Pleasuremakers present a selection of songs from the 20s and 30s done in the New Orleans jazz tradition. Through vocal styles ranging from sweet and dreamy, to rough and realistic, the spicy tales of life are told with the nostalgic innocence of another era. Meanwhile the acoustic quartet swings, stomps, and honestly delivers time tested songs, both remembered and forgotten.
The band is Joy Patterson on vocals, kazookaphone, washboard, and sound effects; Matt Bell on vocals and guitar; Trevor Depew on violin; and Crazy Pete on bass.
