This band Formed in New Orleans in 1999, with the intention of sharing our music, and to delight and entertain anyone and everyone possible. Based now part time out of Brooklyn and New Orleans, with an all-star cast of band members, Scahtzy has recorded two albums of original material. Material for a third album was recorded this spring in New Orleans, and shall be released as soon as it is mixed, mastered, duplicated and packaged. It promises to be the best album they’ve made yet.
A prolific writer, leader Greg Schatz’ songs are catchy and well crafted, often humorous, but sometimes heart-wrenching; with various stylistic influences, including jazz, rockabilly, hip hop, progressive rock, hard rock, zydeco, polka, and so on.
