$10.00 with lesson, $5.00 for just dancing
The Rosendale Cafe is excited to offer a continuing series of Latin dance events on a number of Thursday nights, each starting with an all-levels lesson from 7:30pm to 8:30pm, and dancing until 10:30pm or so.
Dance forms include Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cha Cha, and Bachata.
Ken Daley will be the guest instructor this night. Ken started studying ballroom dance in 2004 with the United Nations Staff Recreation Council’s Ballroom Dance Club in NYC. He then studied with Joe Maraday of Strictly Ballroom Studio, New Windsor, assisting instructors in classes from 2006 to 2011. Ken is currently studying with Linda Rowland of the Hudson Valley Ballroom Dance Teachers College in Kingston, and completed two Ballroom Dance Teachers College courses in “American Style Bronze Level Salsa” and Bronze Level “Night Club 2 Step”, both with honors. He has taught dance classes in Salsa, Night Club 2 Step, and Bachata at Golds Gym in LaGrange, and at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club. Ken is also a martial artist and student of percussion instruments, and says, “The joy of movement through dance is a journey to improved health.”
