John, Dean and Chris go way back. For 10 years they’ve been playing daytime shows as the popular kids music band, Dog on Fleas, releasing 6 critically acclaimed CDs and traveling the Northeast with their eclectic and contagious music for kids. But their history can be traced back even further in time, to the beloved Fighting McKenzies, the weirdest, wildest bunch you may have ever seen, if you were lucky enough. You can always count on the unpredictable with these boys. John and Dean were also part of the For Sale by Owner Orchestra; part performance art, part oddball music, which was played on toys, homemade instruments, and found stuff. Chris… the All-Star drummer… has an illustrious, international career playing with many greats you’ve heard on the radio!
Rubulator is the latest, hottest incarnation from this group. A trio has scarcely sounded so full and bodacious. A smorgasbord of stomps, R&B dandies, calypso, jazz standards, plangent dance numbers, reggae, you name it. Follow the lascivious trombone to the familiar and original sounds of Rubulator. This is a dance party, people! We will move some tables aside for the reverie. If you don’t feel like dancing, this band is a good listen as well!
