Ron Finck was a brilliant musician who resided in the Hudson Valley for 30 years. He constantly strived to better himself musically and was passionate about supporting young musicians in their musical journeys. This passion is the catalyst for starting the Ron Finck Scholarship.
Featuring: Matthew Finck, guitar; Roswell Rudd, thrombone; Mike Kull, piano; Charlie Knicely, bass; T. Xiques, drums; Rob Scheps, saxophone. The quintet will be playing music of some of Ron’s favorite composers including Thelonius Monk, Ornette Coleman, Duke Ellington, and some new compositions by Matthew Finck.
All proceeds go to the Ron Finck Memorial Scholarship at the Rondout Valley High School.
