An innovative multimedia lecture/presentation by Dave Gluck, based on his best-selling and award-winning book, “Rhythms of the Game: The Link Between Musical and Athletic Performance”. The book is co-authored with former New York Yankee great, and guitarist, Bernie Williams; and also by Grammy-nominated producer Bob Thompson. The book’s foreword is written by Paul Simon, and the book is published by the Hal Leonard Corporation.
The one hour presentation takes the audience on a journey from “good” to “great” and explains how elite athletes and artists conquer their fears, embrace failure, and ultimately achieve extraordinary success. The presentation also explains how what works for athletes and musicians can work for anyone, anywhere — whether it’s on a concert stage or an athletic field, in a classroom, or even in the office! The presentation features exclusive video footage of Bernie Williams speaking directly to the audience as he provides insight in regards to several of the topics discussed in our book. To demonstrate how various performance techniques and mindsets are applied to high-pressure situations, the presentation also includes video clips of famous plays on the diamond that involved Bernie, as he provides his personal commentary.
