Rosendale’s own rock band Preferably Tapioca announces the release of their first audio CD Girl Scout Pocket Songbook and their CD Release Party at The Rosendale Cafe, with special guest artist Frankie And His Fingers
The band’s quirky jazz / punk / indie songs create danceable, all-original sounds and lyrics. Their musical style has been compared to Talking Heads and Television. Their musical influences are as diverse as The Pixies, Neil Young, Dead Kennedys, The Smiths, The Clash, Primus, Frank Zappa, The Velvet Underground, Charles Mingus, Bjork, X, King Crimson, and The Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Preferably Tapioca has generously donated their time and energies to fundraisers for St. Jude’s Hospital, the Rosendale Street Festival, Democracy Now, as well as disaster relief efforts for the 2004 Tsunami and for New Orleans, the Marbletown Teen Center, the Rosendale Recreation Center and more.
For more information you can contact P-Tap bandmember Weston Minissali, 845 658-8513, or [show email]
Special guest artist Frankie And His Fingers are a two-piece powerpop duo creating an original brand of catchy, smart, indie pop-rock that is sure to delight the ears of any who will listen.
