An opening reception from 2:00pm-4:00pm, for artist Emily Landaira’s show of photography entitled “The Traveler’s Perspective”, displaying in the Cafe during the month of October 2017.
Emily Landaira is a 23 year old whose passion is photography. Ever since she started taking photography classes in high school, she’s always had a camera in hand.
Everything she learned about photography were from her past instructors and a lot of trial and error. She is inspired by her surroundings, especially nature and animals. She hopes that one day her passion for photography will touch the hearts of many people around the world.
From the artist: “My college professor once told me that traveling the world helps you mold into the person you are meant to be, and changes your perspective on things that you never even thought about.”
“His words helped mold me as a photographer, and this show. The pictures in this show are from my travels within the United States and around the country. Each pictures symbolizes something new I learned about myself throughout that trip. During each one of these trips I learned something new about myself, my peers, other cultures, my camera, my strengths and my weaknesses. I learned that the world is a beautiful place, you just need to take the time to go explore it.”
“Hopefully by looking at these pictures you will learn something about yourself, and make you change your perspective about traveling the world.”
