An opening reception from 2:00pm-4:00pm, for Amber Kelly’s exhibit of paintings, displaying in the Cafe during the month of August 2015.
Amber was influenced at a young age by exposure to the rural landscape paintings of Central America, a style which is folksy, saturated, detailed, and thickly applied. Having grown up outside of popular culture, Amber reveals a unique perspective in her work that communicates the feeling as well as the visual.
She began painting landscapes in 1998, and Rosendale village scenes in 2010, inspired not just by the outstanding landmarks and historical sites, but more so by the vibrant spirit of the community.
