This will be a night of swinging blues the old fashioned way, with an upright bass, a real piano (remember those?), and a drummer with a pair of brushes who’s not afraid to use them! Petey Hop will be strumming on that big ol’ jazz box… T-Bone style… and Big Joe Fitz will pull it all together on harp and vocals.
Whether working on the bandstand or hosting the long running “Bluesbreak” Program on Radio Woodstock/WDST, Big Joe Fitz has a warm, engaging style that never fails to connect with an audience.
Jumpin’ Jack has been called “A master of relaxed urbane, swinging Blues. He has a great warm voice and a folio of excellent songs.” –Blues Revue

“We’ve got the Ashokan Reservoir, the Catskill Mountain, and the great Cement Mines in Rosendale… natural resources that enrich our lives. And we’ve got Big Joe Fitz of the famed WDST “Bluesbreak” show from Woodstock. Tall, blue, and true to the music and folks he brings it to, Joe’s our artesian well of soul.” –Cafe Guide
