Defying the laws of decrepitude, the rapidly aging acoustic comedy duo of Mikhail Horowitz and Gilles Malkine will return to Rosendale Cafe to try and recapture the halcyon days of their juvenile delinquency. Joined by bassist Charlie Kniceley, who is no spring chicken himself, Mik & Gilles will bowdlerize classic literature, castigate the clowns in power, and (for their second set) provide a feature-length send-up of open mic events.
Among the big-time acts that no longer want these guys opening for them are Kinky Friedman, Peter Schickele (P.D.Q. Bach), and Jay Ungar & Molly Mason. Bring a newspaper to hide behind.
“I thought they’d never leave.” –Ben Ratliff, New York Times
