This event will be held at the Rosendale Theatre at 408 Main St, just down the road from the Cafe.
Local Congressman Maurice Hinchey will speak about his bill authorizing a study to determine whether the Hudson River Valley should be a unit of the National Park Service. Our representative will also talk about other environmental issues. Questions and answers will be followed by a “Meet and Greet” with wine and cheese at the Big Cheese.
Hinchey will discuss the potential of his proposal to bring elevated national prestige and levels of federal funding to the region, which could be used toward conservation efforts, historic preservation, tourism promotion and economic development efforts.
This program is sponsored by Save the Lakes and the Sierra Club. Donations to Save the Lakes will be gratefully accepted at this event. For further information call Nancy Schniedewind 845 255-8004 or visit http://SaveTheLakes.us/
