The June show is entitled “People Person” with portraits by Doug Motel.
Doug uses coffee, watercolor pencil, and pen & ink to depict inspiring people at the height of their influence.Subjects range from activist Emma Gonzalez to silent film great Gloria Swanson.
Some pieces are painted on vintage watercolor paper sealed with epoxy resin. Some are printed on an extra large film screen. Doug also builds his own frames made of antique floorboards and adorned with gold leaf made of Carnauba wax.
