With a sound both traditional and original, Jim and Jennie and the Pinetops have performed for those who know bluegrass music and those who don’t. Their sound is built around Jim & Jennie’s powerful harmonies, intense as they are beautiful, and instrumentation that is simple but driving. Their younger audiences may never have before heard banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass so large, while their older audience may hear it sound just like it used to.
