Isle of Klezbos, fun-loving soulful klezmer powerhouse, has toured from Vienna to Vancouver since 1998. Formed by Metropolitan Klezmer drummer Eve Sicular, the NYC-based band and their recordings have appeared on CBS Sunday Morning and The L Word, with recent artistic collaborators including Jill Sobule, Jackie Hoffman, and Scissor Sisters. Their albums Greetings from the Isle of Klezbos and Live From Brooklyn and musical documentary theater project J. Edgar Klezmer: Songs from My Grandmother’s FBI Files have garnered acclaim and awards from The New York Times, Sparkplug Foundation, NYSCA, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and OUTMusic, among others.
