Lubricate your vocal cords as we celebrate the holiday season with a rousing round of traditional Irish and English pub songs, led by Boston area singer Ben Bath and local folkie Sarah Underhill and friends. This will be a participatory event, so come prepared to sing if you are so inclined. For December we will be featuring traditional Pub Carols and a Mummer’s Play, so get ready for an appearance by Father Christmas, St. George and the Dragon, and other archetypal scalawags. These activities go well with a cold beverage and the Cafe offers a fine selection of brews on tap. That’s why we call them drinking songs. Come early for a meal and the singing will commence at 7:00pm. Prepare to thump mugs on the table, rhythmically.
