Lynne Friedman, a Fauve influenced landscape painter, has her studio in Rosendale.
Her visual inquiries are amalgams of experiences here in the Hudson Valley and on painting trips to Spain, southern France, New Mexico and most recently Havana. Exploration of color, quality of light and season are the springboard for her work.
Lynne received a BA and MFA from Queens College, a doctorate in Art Education from Columbia University and studied at the New York Studio School. Listed in Who’s Who in American Art with numerous solo shows in New York City galleries and the James McNeil Whistler Museum among others, her work is many corporate collections.
