Amy Fradon (the Amy of Amy and Leslie) is returning to the Rosendale Cafe with her band for another heart-warming and memorable Valentine’s concert. Amy will be accompanied by incredible guitar and bassists’ Jim Barbaro and Ken McGloin, and the fabulous Tim Moore on piano.
She’ll be playing some new songs from her almost-finished CD, and of course, some old favorites.
Amy has a long career as a singer and performer, having shared the stage with such greats as Rick Danko, Orleans, Paul Butterfield, and Happy and Artie Traum. She and her longtime musical partner Leslie Ritter recorded several acclaimed CDs in the Singer/Songwriter genre, and Amy has two critically acclaimed CDs of her own… a third which she hopes to have ready for this Cafe show. She has toured with the Vanaver Caravan, Face the Music, and the Broadway show Pump Boys and Dinettes. Her other passion is teaching people to find their true voice through music, movement and performance.
Amy is also a fully ordained Interfaith Minister with the Interfaith Temple in NYC. In honor of Valentine’s Day, Amy will lead a brief and delightful renewal of vows for any couples attending who feel this would be a fun and sweet way to affirm their love for each other …and then they will be sung to!
Amy’s shows are intimate, warm and musically diverse; showing her ability as a songwriter, story-teller and passionate singer. Amy and the Cafe look forward to seeing you there!
