Swing Thursday with lessons and dancing

 Swing Thursday with lessons and dancingThe Rosendale Cafe offers its continuing series of dance events on a number of Thursday nights, each starting with an all-levels lesson from 7:30pm to 8:30pm, and dancing until 10:30pm or so.

This week's dance event will be a swing class hosted by Lourdes Cruz, who has been teaching in the Mid-Hudson Valley since 1998. As a professional ballroom and latin dancer, she's worked with children and adults to instill confidence and the love of dance... by focusing on simple movements and steps that will get everyone having fun on the dance floor in minutes.

For the Cafe classes she'll be working on the basic steps to West Coast Swing, and afterwards playing a varied selection of music including West Coast and East Coast Swing, Cha cha, Salsa, and more.

Concert Information

Due to the limited seating and intimate setting at the Cafe,
we have found the following policies to be neccessary:

  • No reservations will be accepted.
  • There are no advanced ticket sales.
  • Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
    We regret that we cannot hold seats for mem-
    bers of a party who have not yet arrived.
  • Dinner is served during the performances.
  • We require a $5 per person dinner minimum.
  • Avoid using portable electronic devices during a
    show, such as laptops, cell phones, and PDAs.
  • The cafe is a smoke-free environment. Please do not
    smoke within 20 feet of a door or opened window.
