Andrew Kaminski, MFA, is a visual artist who focuses on acrylic painting, drawing, video projection, murals, and shakti transmission. Kaminski’s work is thematically influenced by a shaktipat transmission given to his family by late swami, Baba Muktananda, and technically inspired by the abstract aesthetic encouraged by the painting program of SUNY New Paltz. Kaminski himself, experienced samadhi initially in 2008 which led him to explore methods of how to visualize it and transmit it to others. His work utilizes bright, primary colors amid muddy colors to communicate the interventional nature of shakti amongst the obscure mechanical forces of the material world.
